Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith.

It’s a public declaration that you have trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and are choosing to follow Him with your life.

At Lifeway, we believe baptism is one of the first steps of obedience after placing your faith in Christ. It doesn’t save you, but it powerfully shows what Jesus has already done in your heart. Going under the water symbolizes the death and burial of your old life, and being raised out of the water represents the new life you now have in Christ (Romans 6:4).

Baptism is also a moment of celebration. It’s a chance to share your faith story and let your church family celebrate what God is doing in your life as we continue our mission to make heaven more crowded.
